Challenging Times
A recent YSS Blog commentator referenced the controversy in West Bend Wisconsin over the public library's inclusion of fiction and non-fiction young adult books with gay and/or lesbian content. Here is the link to the blog of the person who is demanding that the materials be removed from the library. http://wbcommunityinfo.blogspot.com/2009/02/west-bend-library-serves-up-gay-books.html Are you prepared to answer the tough questions that parents in your community may ask about books in your collection?
there are actually two. wissup.blogspot.com. but please don't believe everything you read. There's a lot of misinformation in these blogs. As well as local media. Please check with the library involved.
