Stop here to register. WLA members: Free; non-members:$25

Join us for the next installment of WLA’s Youth Services Section (YSS) Presents: Teen Programming Inspiration on Tuesday, April 18th from 3-4:00pm. Four amazing library staff working with teens will share their teen programming successes, failures, and words of wisdom to keep us all motivated to create teen programming.

This webinar will be followed by another entry in May on Teen Advisory Groups and volunteers. We all know that teens can be a tricky group to bring into the library and hope that this webinar series will empower and energize staff to keep doing the important work of serving this age group!

Presenter Info:

Terry Ehle is the Youth Services Coordinator for the Lester Public Library in Two Rivers, WI with 25 years of experience working with teens. Most recently she began a community initiative to provide a teen-friendly event every Friday night during the school year. She shares her successes and fails working with community organizations, marketing tips, and the activities provided specifically at the library.

Kahlil Griffin is the manager of Simmons and Uptown Libraries in Kenosha. Before moving to Kenosha, he was a youth services librarian for the DeKalb County Library System in Georgia. While working as a youth services librarian, he obtained a master's degree in public administration and plans to use the degree to further his career within the field of librarianship, as his dream is to become a library director!

Laci Sheldon (she/her/hers) is proud to serve her hometown, Viroqua, as McIntosh Memorial Library's Youth Service Director. She is a kind, supportive, and capable person who loves to connect children to their public library.

Abby Seymour is the Teen Services Librarian at the E.D. Locke Public Library in McFarland (which is right outside of Madison). She’s been in Madison for almost 4 years now but grew up across the street from the La Crosse Public Library. Her favorite underrated YA book is The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner.
