Autism 101 and Adapting Programs and Services for People on the Autism Spectrum with Tammi Poppe

When: Thursday, April 7, 9:30 am-3:30 pm
Where: IFLS offices (1538 Truax Blvd. Eau Claire)

At least 10 percent of the population is on the autism spectrum. You serve this group whether you know it or not! Learn:
  • basic information about autism
  • how to adjust your day-to-day interactions with people on the spectrum
  • ways to make your programs and your library building easier and more enjoyable for people with autism.

9:30-12:00: Autism 101

12:00-1:00 Lunch (on your own)

1:00-3:30: Adapting Programs and Services


Tammi Poppe is owner/consultant for C.H.A.S.A.E.R. LLC (Community, Home and School Autism Education Resource). Currently on the advisory board and a trainer for the National Professional Development Center for Autism Program, Tammi works closely with UW’s Waisman Center and DPI. Besides developing and teaching autism curriculum for Northeastern WI. Technical College, Tammi presents workshops around the country, advocates for people who have an autism spectrum disorder, and is honored to be the mother of a child with Asperger’s Syndrome.
