More Reasons to Attend WLA in LaCrosse!

Watch the blog for upcoming posts on the great PROGRAMS at the conference--there are so many that we may wish we could clone ourselves.

Here are another few reasons you might want to attend:

• The conference is a great place to wade in and get involved with YSS!  Give a little time with some easy jobs.  Contact Sue Abrahamson if you can help: sabraham@mail.owls.lib.wi.us
• Room monitors for the programs (make sure everything is as it should be, welcome the speaker and the attendees, and generally be a friendly presence in the room)
• Staffing the YSS Booth in the Exhibit Hall--this is a great way to meet and greet your youth services peeps!
• The YSS Board has come up with a few great ways to help you get connected, so stay tuned for details on:
• A Board Member Bingo Game, which will allow you to find and meet YSS Board members and also give you a chance to win a (yet-to-be-determined) fabulous prize.
• YSS Happy Hour!  Chair-Elect Linda Jerome, a LaCrosse native, is sussing out the best, most hip and groovy place for us to gather on Wednesday evening, after the YSS meeting and before the WLA Foundation fundraiser.  This will be a terrific opportunity to meet other folks in an informal setting:  a little networking, a lot of laughing.
