Nutritious Food for Children in Child Care

In case you missed Tess M. Schmidt's email on wispublib...

Dear Wisconsin Library staff:

Did you know that over 70% of Wisconsin’s families have children in child care?  At the same time, Wisconsin’s poverty rate is growing and creating financial stress – especially around food and its affordability.
With this in mind,  the parents you serve may want to know about a USDA Food Program that financially assists family child care providers in preparing healthy foods throughout the day. The program is offered at no cost to the parents or to the child care provider.
To learn more and download a flier go to: http://wisconsinearlychildhood.org/programs/food-program/for-parents/

Feel free to contact me with questions, or if you’d like hard-copy fliers sent to you.

Thank you for your support and interest,

Caroline
