South Asia Book Awards Discussion: October 24 in Madison


In light of the many discussions on putting diverse books into our collections and the hands of kids, the SABA awards are chosen by teachers, librarians and content specialists on South Asia.

Join the 2015 SABA Award and Honor authors Tanuja Desai Hidier, Paula Yoo, Padma Venkatraman and Vivek Shraya for a roundtable discussion. Moderated by Kevin King, the authors will share insights on crafting their stories, and discuss how they are not only telling a South Asia-specific story but also a universal one that will inspire and enchant . Share in the conversation about the importance of exposing youth to modern South Asian literature through accessibility in libraries and the classroom. Authors will autograph books afterwards!
