As we get closer to ALA's Youth Media Awards announcements (January 11!!!), it's fun to think about great art, great storylines, great writing and great plotting in books for youth.

To start our New Year off right, let's celebrate with a fun post from Travis Jonker (in his SLJ 100 Scope Notes column) earlier in 2015 when he spotlighted a delightful, almost secret, artistic trend - barcodes on children's books incorporated into the art. It was one of his top posts of last year and no wonder!
