Sesame Street for Military Families

Do you serve families of veterans? Did you know that Sesame Street has developed a free resource for families with young children (ages 2-5) who have transitioned out of the military?

From the website:
"Sesame Street for Military Families: Transitions supports families' stability and well-being as adults and kids face the multiple changes related to transitioning out of the military and back into civilian life. Most of all, this toolkit celebrates families' strength and resilience as they take the next step in their adventure! It's the latest addition to Sesame Workshop's multimedia initiative supporting military families through the challenges of deployment, homecomings, injuries, and more."

Take a look at the toolkit HERE.

Sabrina Huda, Project Manager at Sesame Workshop shared with Rachel Payne on  the ALSC list that free print copies of the My Story, My Big Adventure activity book are available to librarians. These can be shipped to you by the box (75 books/box) if you are interested.  Please email veterans@sesame.org to order books, specifying how many boxes you would like.
