The following request comes from a WI member of ALSC's Advocacy and Legislation Committee. She is looking for questions on ways to start becoming a great youth advocate with stakeholders at your library.
I am part of the ALSC Advocacy & Legislation Committee. There is a free ALSC webinar coming up -- Advocacy for Everyone, October 3. It will have a panel of a broad range of folks who have engaged in library advocacy and they will be responding to questions. We have been asked to share our questions with them in advance so they can provide thoughtful and useful advice to children's librarians who want to engage more effectively in advocating their importance to all sorts of stakeholders.
If you have a question to share, please email Marge Loch-Wouters by Friday September 28 and I will forward them. Thanks YSSers!!
