BadgerLink Procurement Complete

• The recent BadgerLink procurement process is complete. Many of the previously provided resources remain the same, however new resources include: Britannica Early Elementary & Young Children (Britannica); Education Source, Hobbies & Crafts Source, Home Improvement Source, Library & Information Science Source, and Points of View Reference Source (all from EBSCO); and Chilton Library (Gale).

Sunshine & Stories Podcast

 

• Sunshine & Stories is a Colorado State Library podcast dedicated to all things summer in public libraries. During our 2024-25 season, keep an eye out for new episodes twice a month from August to May. We'll explore topics like performers, incentives, outreach, volunteers, capturing impact, and many more ideas related to designing a summer public library program for your whole community (adults included!). 

 

Wisconsin Library Association Awards

 

• WLA is accepting nominations for 2024 Awards and Honors. The deadline to nominate a colleague (or yourself!) is Friday September 6^th, 2024.

STARnet Webinar – Experience Solar Maximum

 

• Wednesday September 11^th, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. CST
• Join STAR Net and the Astronomical League as we explore the solar cycle, what happens during periods of high activity from the Sun, and how to participate in the Solar Maximum Observing Challenge! You’ll learn how to build a DIY magnetometer to detect minor disturbances to the Earth’s magnetic field and discuss ways to engage your community in experiencing solar maximum. The solar eclipses of 2023 and 2024 may be over, but there are still plenty of ways to celebrate our Sun!

Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) – Submit a Program Idea!

 

• CSLP needs your 2026 program ideas and resource suggestions for the Dinosaurs theme.
• Submit a PROGRAM IDEA (All Ages)
• Submit a BOOK or RESOURCE (All Ages; Spanish or English)
• Programming suggestions will be accepted until September 27, 2024.
