World Read Aloud Day March 7
Have you heard about this initiative?
It encourages people across the world to read aloud to support global literacy. Reading aloud - from storytimes to reading with older children - builds community. Nerdy Book Club has a wonderful post about it with outstanding suggestions for tween read-alouds. Wisconsin's own Rob Reid publishes Reid-aloud selections in Library Sparks magazine as well as with books like Reid's Read-Alouds.
If you are going to be reading aloud to kids in the library or as part of your outreach that day, you can register at the LitWorld website. Happy Reading.
