According to an article from MusicRadar.com, the BBC recently announced that it now allows people to download more than 16,000 free sound effect samples from its archives! Check out the archives HERE!
Even better? The license allows for the sound effects to be used for "personal, educational or research purposes."
In the brief article, Music Radar also mentioned its own library of free samples--dubbed SampleRadar--which features collections of musical loops, hits, and multisamples. Again, the samples can be used as you see fit, but not redistributed.
Combine these resources with those available on BadgerLink and you are rollin' in sound effect options!
Imagine the possibilities! Music mixing programs, film making/stop animation, promotional videos... The sky's the limit!
