We saw this on our wispiblib listserv. Thanks SEWI for opening it up to library staff across WI (if you are not a SEWI member, the cost is $20 for the printed program)
November 9-11, 2020
Do you find it stressful to find performers that are a good fit to book for your youth programs at the library? You have limited programming dollars and booking an act sight unseen can be nerve wracking. Wouldn’t it be great if you could see a sample performance from a number of local performers to see what they have to offer before you book?
Introducing the 2020 Youth Services Performers’ Showcase. Join us online via Zoom Webinar Monday, November 9 -- Wednesday, November 11 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. featuring up to 30 performers. Each hour, multiple performers will demonstrate what they can provide for educational, fun public youth performances in a virtual and/or in-person format. There will be time after each performance for Q&A with the performer.
Session times each day (November 9-11, 2020):
- Session 1: 9:30 – 10:30 am
- Session 2: 11:00 am – 12:00 noon
- Session 3: 1:00 – 2:00 pm
- Session 4: 2:30 – 3:30 pm
Library staffs from SEWI (Southeastern Wisconsin) library systems (Arrowhead, Bridges, Kenosha County, Lakeshores, Milwaukee County and Monarch Library Systems) register at no cost. Registrants from outside of the SEWI region will be invoiced $20 to cover the cost for a printed program that will be mailed to you. Register by October 16 to ensure you will receive the printed program before the event.
This program is sponsored by the Southeastern Wisconsin public library systems: Arrowhead Library System, Bridges Library System, Kenosha County Library System, Lakeshores Library System, Milwaukee County Federated Library System and Monarch Library System.
