April 10-16 is the Week of the Young Child (WOYC), a celebration of early learning, young children, their teachers, families and communities. Sponsored by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), the event is marking it's 50th anniversary!
This year, NAEYC has divided activities into the days of the week: Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday and Family Friday. The WOYC website has a number of activities and resources listed during each day to share with families and super useful for libraries as you program as well.
Let's support and celebrate early literacy and young children together!
