CCBC News of Note

KT Horning, in a note to the Friends of the CCBC, shared some great news about their expanding hours. If you have missed the CCBC like we have, this is tremendous news.

She writes: "The CCBC will re-open to the public on August 23! We’ll be open noon-4 pm Monday-Friday until Sept 7, and then we’ll resume our regular hours for the fall semester (Mon-Thurs, 9 am-7 pm, Fri 9 am-4 pm, Sun, 12:30-4 pm)  We’ll be following the university’s COVID-19 policies. Be sure to double-check them before you visit because the landscape continues to change in terms of public health."

Also on tap in September is the always thoughtful Charlotte Zolotow lecture. Plan to hear this free lecture with the amazing Christopher Myers! KT writes: "Mark your calendars for the 2021 Charlotte Zolotow Lecture by Christopher Myers on Thursday September 30, at 7:30pm, Great Hall, Memorial Union.  Chris gave one of his very first public lectures in Great Hall as a speaker at one of the joint CCBC/SLIS children’s literature conferences, and we are thrilled to have him return."
