Free Comic Book Day isn't until May 7, 2022 BUT here is an opportunity to register as a library to receive free comics for your event if you don't have a local comic book shop. If you qualify, you can enroll in their FCBD Library Program. But you need to hurry. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2022.
The Free Comic Book day folks write about their library program:
Due to the large number of library participation requests, we urge libraries to first connect with a local comic shop, if possible. To find a shop near you, use our Comic Shop Locator service. Comic shops that display the “School/Library Partner” badge are great stores to contact. If there are no comic shops within a reasonable distance or you can’t find a shop to partner with, please complete the form below to apply for comics.
Please read carefully:
• Each library is guaranteed 50 comics. If additional comics are required to support your event, please indicate how many under “Additional Comic Book Quantity Request”. We will try to accommodate as many additional requests as possible
• Ensure we have the correct shipping address. Please note, packages are sent via UPS, therefore we cannot ship to a PO Box. A physical street address must be provided.
• Due to shipping and customs logistics, we cannot accept enrollment from locations outside of the continental U.S.
• After the registration deadline of January 31, your library will receive an email confirming your acceptance into the program and the quantity of comic books your library will receive.
• If you have any questions, you can reach out to educators@freecomicbookday.com for more information."
