Muskego Public Library Children's Assistant (part time)
The Muskego Public Library is hiring a part-time (20 hours a week) Children’s Assistant position to fill an upcoming vacancy. This position would collaborate with the Children’s Librarian and Children’s Assistant (full-time) to develop and execute programs for children and families with children ages birth-12. This position performs reference services and technology services to patrons as needed. The Children’s Assistant (part-time) position is a non-exempt, non-supervisory position and reports directly to the Head of Reference. The ideal candidate would have excellent public facing skills along with an ability to build and maintain community and patron relationships.
Interested candidates should complete the City Employment Application. Both a cover letter and a resume are required to be submitted with this application. This position is eligible for pro-rated vacation time, sick time, and holiday pay. It is not eligible for insurance or retirement benefits.
Education and Experience
- Two years of study at an accredited college, university or technical school.
- Experience in a public library or equivalent experience preferred.
Salary Range (based on 2024): Min - $20.29/hr Mid - $23.13/hr Max - $26.38/hr
