E. D Locke (McFarland) Public Library Young Adult Librarian (full-time)
The E.D. Locke Public Library has an immediate opening for the full-time Young Adult Librarian position. The Young Adult Librarian will be responsible for providing a variety of public and technical services including the development of the older school-age and young adult collections and the planning and implementation of youth programming (ages 7 and up). In addition, the work involves reference and reader's advisory, school and community outreach, social media marketing and serving as a backup at the Circulation Desk. The ideal candidate will be positive, enthusiastic, creative, organized, technology savvy, and enjoy working with children and young adults. Minimum requirement of a MLS or MLIS degree and three years of progressively responsible library service or a combination of education and experience. Those currently working on their MLS/MLIS degree are encourage to apply.
