ALSC 2016 Summer Reading Lists
The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) recently published their great summer reading lists. The lists are in brochure format and can be downloaded, printed, and distributed for free! Bike to the Library Week This Summer Invitation
Completely in line with this summer's theme, Bike to the Library Week is going to be held from June 19 to June 25, 2016. This project is a collaboration between the UW-Madison’s Global Health Institute, the Wisconsin Bike Fed, and all the amazing libraries and library workers who are participating in Bike to the Library 2016.

Summer Programming Ideas: STEAM and Sports
The Featured Article in Library Sparks May/June issue is Gaining Steam: Extreme Sports. Written by Amy Koester, who blogs at The Show Me Librarian, it includes three hands-on programs tied to the summer library program theme as well as a brief annotated bibliography of reading connections.
