Quick Storytime Resources

If you work at one of the hundreds of small libraries in WI, you often wear every hat there is - director, reference librarian, tech guru, community advocate, children's librarian, custodian and more. So storyimes can be challenging.

Or perhaps you work at a larger library and your youth colleague has an unexpected emergency on storytime morning. You may be rusty but you are the go-to person. Gulp!

So it's always great when there are websites that can quickly give you program plans or service tips especially for kids.  Here are two sites to bookmark if you want to do great storytimes with the ease and aplomb of a full-time early literacy librarian:

Storytime Katie
Katie not only shares her books, literacy tips shared with grown-ups, songs and fingerplays but also she tells you how the storytime went! These helpful outlines can make you a champ too!

Verona Storytime
Closer to home, the Verona (WI) Public Library shares storytimes for babies, toddlers, sensory storytimes and more at their site. It's another great spot to get inspiration in a hurry!

What are YOUR favorite quick go-to sites for storytimes in a rush?
