Kilbourn (Wisconsin Dells Public Library Children's Library Assistant (full-time)
The library is looking for an outgoing, innovative and enthusiastic person to head up their youth services department. We are looking for the right person to create dynamic programming and provide library services for youth and their families at the library and throughout our community. The successful applicant must demonstrate great customer service skills and enjoy working with kids and families. Our ideal applicant will be a team player with a strong work ethic.
This position encompasses services to youth; from birth to school aged and their families. This position focuses on youth services programming, development and management of the youth collection, youth-related community outreach and reference and circulation services for the general public. Under the direct supervision of the Library Director, the youth services library assistant proactively develops, organizes, manages and delivers service in the library and on the bookmobile. The youth services library assistant oversees the selection of materials for the youth department, develops partnerships within the community to promote services for youth and continually seeks and finds ways to promote increased use of the library.
This is a 40-hour-a-week position with benefits. Days, evenings and weekends will be necessary. Flexibility is a must. A bachelor’s degree is required. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license. Prior work experience as a children’s librarian is preferred. Prior library work experience, knowledge and experience with computers, software, internet, website maintenance and social media is preferred. Fluency and conversational skills in Spanish is a plus.

Youth Services Librarian - Brown County Library, Ashwaubenon Branch (full-time)
Brown County Library is seeking a creative, energetic, and innovative Youth Services Librarian for our Ashwaubenon branch. This role works with the BCL Youth Services Committee to plan and implement services and programming for patrons from birth through high school, as well as their caregivers.
The YS Librarian works closely with educational partners within the community to support education and literacy for all ages of youth. As part of the Ashwaubenon branch, this role serves under the branch manager, assisting a team of associates and clerks in supporting the needs of the branch, with a special focus on youth, families, and caregivers.
