Learn how to enhance storytimes for children from birth to age five/six by including literacy-building materials and activities.
- Understand why including early literacy skills in storytime is so important.
- Get tips for developing storytime templates that will ensure each storytime is filled with early literacy skill-builders.
- Become familiar with ways to point out early literacy tips to adult care givers during your storytimes.
Learn how to make connections in the community and to bring the importance of early literacy development to parent groups and community leaders. Especially now in these difficult economic times, it is critical that the community understands what we do in storytime and how it relates to preparing our children for school success.

- Learn how to effectively communicate the importance of early literacy to parents, community groups, and business leaders.
