SparkNotes Twitter Account is Winning

Reid McCarter over at AV News has brought to my attention the hilarity that is the SparkNotes Twitter account.  

Their literary meme game is, well . . . lit.  While some of the account's blatant branding can be a touch off-putting, their social media skills cannot be denied, particularly when adding a book-themed twist to the internet's favorite memes.  Check out the account for corny, hilariousness: @SparkNotes

Teens Attracted to Twitter

It looks like, according to the latest Pew report, that teens are shifting from using Facebook to other social media sites like Twitter. Why?  They don't like the drama that comes with it, and Facebook life is almost an extension of school life.

Follow the ALSC Institute!

ALSC is holding its biennial Institute in Indinapolis as I type.  Our fearless leader, Sue Abrahamson is there (she is a long-time Institute attendee...she says it's one of the most helpful conferences she has ever attended), along with librarians from across the country.  I wish I were there but, sadly, work commitments hold me here.

However, I am not in despair. By following the handy hashtag #ALSC12 on Twitter and peeking in at the ALSC blog throughout the day, I am getting a great taste of the sessions and the fun.  Fire up your twitter account and follow all the action today!
