What You Need to Know Workshop - REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Registration for the School and Public Libraries workshop is now open!

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction is hosting this workshop at Hotel Marshfield on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 1 and 2, 2023. There is no cost to attend, and meals will be provided.

Registration is open until May 22, 2023, and is limited to 100 attendees, 50 from public libraries and 50 from school libraries. Completing this registration form does not guarantee the applicant a spot in the workshop. Following the registration closing, applicants will be notified of their status and be required to confirm attendance before June 5, 2023. Those who apply after maximum capacity is reached will be placed on a wait list. Any spots not confirmed by June 12, 2023 will be offered to those on the waitlist.

Topics to be covered include Collection Development 101, Childhood Development and Early Literacy, and Programming 101. There will also be speakers from the CCBC, PBS Wisconsin, and Beanstack.

Space is limited to 50 participants and priority registration will be given to those who have been in the youth services field five years or less.

All 387 of the Wisconsin public libraries are listed by name on the form. Please be sure to select your library and then scroll all the way to the bottom to answer the last two questions.
