UK children's reading charity BookTrust has uncovered information about how parents use technology at bedtime, both to enhance and sometimes replace, storybook read alouds. The survey polled 1000 parents of kids 10 and under to discover why and how technology is integrated into the bedtime experience for families.
While nearly half of those surveyed noted wanting to share bedtime stories with their children every night, only 28% actually achieve that goal. Most interesting is how 26% responded that they have tried using technology, including digital assistants, to share nighttime stories.
