Zoom Chats & YA/Teen Focused SIGs

Are you interested in connecting with more young adult/teen services librarians from Wisconsin? A group where you can share ideas, resources, support, and have a great time?

Taylor Wilcox, teen librarian at the Waupaca Area Public Library, Jenny Wegener, Head of Youth Services at the Pewaukee Public Library, and Linda Jerome, teen librarian at the La Crosse Public Library, have been working together to get the ball rolling. Taylor has been hosting a monthly Zoom video chat with Linda and other young adult services librarians across the state since May 2020. Since August, they have been working alongside Jenny Wegner and the YSS to help turn this Zoom group into an official YA SIG, but we need your help first!

We’re looking for even more interested and passionate librarians to join this young adult services librarian group so we can transform it into an official YA SIG! If you, or someone you know, wants to help start an epic new special interest group that’s all about teens and those of us who work with them, please contact Taylor Wilcox at twilcox@waupacalibrary.org.
